I was just visiting our YouTube Channel and came across our recent Salesforce Expert Series webinar on Quoting Capabilities in Salesforce. In the webinar, one of our Salesforce Technical Architects, Chad Smith, does a great job covering some of the limitations of native Salesforce quoting and offers some clever tips and tricks to extend the functionality and add some automation.

If you want to auto-fill fields when creating new quotes, customize the multi-line quote layout, or add images or quantity price breaks to the products you are quoting, you should definitely check it out. Chad offers an overview of how to enable some extra quoting functionality you’ve been looking for.

We recognize that these topics just scratch the surface to meet the needs of manufacturers using Salesforce to grow their businesses.  You may have quoting needs that fall far beyond what Salesforce native quoting can handle, even after it is stretched and customized a bit.  As Chad mentions in the presentation, for those customers with complex products or pricing, or a desire for increased collaboration or speed, Luxent has a force.com application called iQ that is available on the AppExchange.

So, whether your quoting needs are big or small, there are solutions available. If you’d like a free assessment to determine the best way to solve your unique quoting challenges, send the experts an email at SalesforceExperts@luxent.com.

We would be interested to hear your feedback and challenges.  Please leave a comment below if there’s something you’d like to see in a future Salesforce Expert Series webinar!
